Tina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical Engineering, and started her career as a management consultant for the United Nations and the Inter-American Development Bank. Tina holds a Master’s degree in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, and is currently completing her PhD.
As Senior Editor in a major translation agency, Tina led a wide variety of large-scale translation projects for the publishing industry.
Later as a freelance translator, editor, and writer, she helped develop Spanish and English language materials in several areas of educational publishing (including Reading, Science, and Math programs), as well as in medicine, engineering, marketing, and law.
In 2003 Tina became Executive Director and co-owner of SPG, where today she manages the day-to-day company operations, focusing on quality assurance, training of the translation team, bid development, and client relations.
